December 2016-January 2017

December 2016. Luke Harding, the Guardian reporter and former Moscow bureau chief, quietly meets former M16 officer Christopher Steele in a London pub to discuss President-elect Donald Trump’s Russia connections. A month later, Steele’s now-famous dossier sparks what may be the biggest scandal of the modern era. The names of the Americans involved are well-known, Paul Manafort, Michael Flynn, Jared Kushner, George Papadopoulos, Carter Page-but here Harding also shines a light on powerful Russian figures like Aras Agalarov, Natalia Veselnitskaya, and Sergey Kislyak, whose motivations and instructions may have been coming from the highest echelons of the Kremlin.

“Essential… I wish everyone who is skeptical that Russia has leverage over Trump would read it… Harding, the former Moscow bureau chief of the Guardian, has been reporting on shady characters like Paul Manafort, the former Trump campaign chairman who was indicted last month, long before Trump announced his candidacy… There’s no longer any serious questions that there was cooperation between Trump’s campaign and Russia, but the extent of the cooperation, and the precise nature of it, remains opaque… [Collusion] is invaluable in collating the overwhelming evidence of a web of relationships between the Kremlin, Trump and members of Trump’s circle.”-Michelle Goldberg, The New York Times.

“Harding…presents a powerful case for Russian interference, and Trump campaign collusion, by collecting years of reporting on Trump’s connections to Russia and putting it all together in a coherent narrative. It’s the sheer breath of connections, many of them dating back 20 years or more, between Trump and his associates and Russians with close ties to the Kremlin that put the lie to Trump’s repeated claims that he has no ties to Russia.”-The Nation

“Damning indeed… Harding is at his best connecting dots that may not always be obvious… If readers emerge from this fast-paced narrative convinced that the Trump White House is a Wholly owned subsidiary of the Russian oligarchs, then there’s good reason for it.”-Kirkus Review

In Conclusion

Drawing on new material and his expert understanding of Moscow and its players, Harding takes the reader through every bizarre and disquieting detail of the “Trump-Russia” story-an event so huge it involves international espionage, off-shore banks, sketchy real estate deals, the Miss Universe pageant, mobsters, money laundering, poisoned dissidents, computer hacking, and the most shocking election in American history.

  1. The ebook, Collusion by Harding will remain a great reference book particularly to those politically minded. All such persons including me followed the story as it unfolded in the media.

We all heard over the media that the Guardian Reporter, Mr. Harding, and Mosco bureau chief met Christophe Steel M16 officer in Dec. 26. Everybody understood why they did that. We all learned the names of Americans helping Mr. Thrump on the American side and the people on Mr. Putin’s side.

The story was not only bizarre because of the caliber of the Americans involved in the scandal but the head of state of America was reported to be colluding with the Russians against American State. The story was one of a kind, never happened before.

What can be achieved in a case when the thief was put in charge of the inquiry investing the robbery? What can be achieved when the republican party excluding Mr. Romney lost their manhood and supported Mr. Thrump against the rule of law and their country. It will be history books that will untangle the web of lies, dishonesty, and compromising once conscience.

I may have to get a copy of Mr. Harding’s ebook. Good luck

    1. Thank you Cal for your comment, and I agree with you whole heartedly and now Donald Trump is ignoring the fact that Russia has put bounties on the heads of our military men and women, this is so disturbing, the only thing he has said about this travesty is that he never got briefed, even though it is in his PDB (President’s Daily Briefing) and of course we know he doesn’t read it. So, my question for Congress Oversight Staff, is why haven’t we heard anything more about this, and why hasn’t the press questioned him? I have been watching when Trump and or Kaylee MacEnnany are taking questions, they only call on right wing journalists, so that is the answer to the press, but what about Congress. We as a nation cannot wait till the election is over to do anything, we need answers now. Thanks again for comment, and I hope you enjoy this great read. Have a great day Cal, and stay safe and healthy.
