Cult Of Personality And Trump

I want to talk about today, what Cult Of Personality means? And how does this reflect the times we live in now under the Trump Administration.

Definition Of Cult Of Personality
Cult of PersonalityA Cult of Personality, or Cult of the Leader, arises when a country’s regime-or, more rarely, an individual (Trump) uses the techniques of mass media, propaganda, the big lie, spectacular, the arts, patriotism, and government-organized demonstrations and rallies to create an idealized, heroic, and worship image of a leader, often through unquestioning flattery and praise. A cult of personality is similar to apotheosis, except that it is established by modern social engineering techniques usually by the state or the party in one-party states and dominate-party state. It is often seen in totalitarian or authoritarian countries. However, in the United States, if you look at this definition of cult of personality, you can easily summarize that Trump and the Republican Party are forming a cult around their leader Trump.

Impeachment And How The Cult Came Out For Trump

After President Trump unloaded about being treated “unfairly” before his “total acquittal” in the Seante Impeachment Trial, and observations about the Republican party and where it stands now.

Chuck Todd, Host of “Meet The Press Daily” on MSNBC in addition to his job he states: “He was really flexing his cult of personality muscle.”. also adding, “This is a Republican party that is no longer organized around ideas-it is organized around a person, pure and simple.”.

On Thursday, one day after being acquitted on Impeachment charges by the Republican Senate-minus one, Mitt Romney, the president Donald Trump railed against being treated “unfairly.”.

The Republican law-makers gave Trump a standing ovation in the White House East Room, the newly-acquitted but forever-impeached president told his supporters, “We’ve all been through a lot together, and we probably deserve the hand for all of us, because it’s been a very unfair situation.”.

Trump also adds: “We went through hell unfairly. Did nothing wrong. I did nothing wrong. I’ve done things wrong in my life, I will admit-not purposely-but I’ve done things wrong.”. Trump goes on to say: “But this is what the end result is,”. he added, holding up a copy of The Washington Post with a headline that read “Trump Acquitted.”.

Trump Says: People Should Pay For The Impeachment

Trump announced at the speech Wednesday in a tweet declaring he was ready to talk about the “impeachment hoax”. When Stephanie Grisham appeared on-air and said Trump wouldn’t “talk about how just horribly he was treated and that maybe people should pay for that.”.

Also, early at the National Prayer Breakfast, Trump made a veiled dig at Mitt Romney, the only Republican to cast a “guilty” vote on that infamous Wednesday.

“I don’t like people who use their faith as justification for doing what they know is wrong. Nor do I like people who say, ‘I pray for you, when they know that’s not so, “Trump said. He, however did not mention any names, probably because Nancy Pelosi was sitting not more than 20 feet away from Trump as he was making his speech.

Those few statements that he made started numerous, and very vindictive acts against people he felt wronged him and were not on his team (never Trumpers, as he calls them), terminations, and relocation job sites for certain aides who testified against him in his Impeachment Trial and Inquiry.

Trump Is The Cult Of Personality Leader

From the day Donald Trump was elected, some of us worried how his administration would deal with a crisis not of its own making. Remarkably, we have gone through three years without finding out. Until now, every serious problem facing the Trump administration from trade wars to confrontation with Iran has been self-created. But the corona virus is looking as if it might be the test we have been fearing. The results are not looking good so far.

Lindsey Graham

Having previously said he would consider evidence that President Trump demanded a quid pro quo from the President of Ukraine, Republican Se. Lindsey Graham (S.C.) has adopted a new position. He refuses to read the transcripts of testimony from the officials who witnessed or sought to advance that corrupt bargain. The head-in-the-sand approach is contemptible, but understandable. Anyone who has read the transcript will find that Mr. Trump’s own political appointments thought his handling of Ukraine was ignorant improper and damaging to an important bilateral relationship.

Trump’s Henchmen Seek Subpoena For Hunter Biden

Days after Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden scored a major win at his party’s primary in South Carolina, a Republican U.S. Senator is seeking the first subpoena in a probe of his son Hunter Biden’s role at Ukraine gas company Burisma.

When Joe Biden’s campaign picked up steam ahead of crucial Super Tuesday primaries on Tuesday, Senate Homeland Security Committee Chairman, Ron Johnson told panel members that he will call a meeting to consider subpoenaing documents related to Hunter Biden’s seat on Burisma’s board, according to a letter from Johnson obtained by Reuters.

Trump was impeached on abuse of power and obstruction charges in the Democratic-led House of Representatives after he asked Ukraine to investigate the Bidens. It seems that Trump is up to the same old things, attacking a debunked theory, going after personal issues (debunked) instead of running on policies, economy, health care, etc. He knows no other way to win except for attacking the person, and his family. In my opinion, you fight fire with fire and Biden or Sanders who ever the nominee will be, better be ready for the fight of their political career, start the investigations into Trump and his family now, for their own smear campaigns.

This last Monday, Democrats warned the committee investigation could aide disinformation efforts by Russia and other countries as well. Intelligence officials have told lawmakers Russia appears to be engaging in disinformation and propaganda campaigns to help both Trump and Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, who is also seeking the Democratic nomination. Trump would rather debate and run against Sanders than Biden, because of his socialist policies. Trump is right he would more than likely win against Sanders, due to only 30% of Democratic voters are for his socialist policies at this time.

Fear-Then Loyalty To Trump

The President demands complete fealty, and as the impeachment hearings showed by how they acted and catered to Trump’s conspiracy theories on everything, but he attained, mainly by fear. To cross Trump is to risk losing a future in the Republican Party.

Dave Trott
Dave Trott

Dave Trott criticized Trump wanting to repeal the Affordable Care Act, in a closed-door meeting with the fellow GOP lawmakers, the response was instantaneous-but had nothing to do with the substance of Mr. Trott’s concerns. Someone already told the White House what he had said, and a colleague told him “Be ready for a barrage of tweets.”.

Mr. Trott got the message-which is to defy Trump is to invite the president’s wrath, ostracism within the party and a premature end to a career in Republican Politics. Mr Trott decided not to seek re-election in his Detroit district, concluding that running as a Trump skeptic was unitanable, and joining a wave of Republican departures from Congress that has left those who remain more devoted to the president than ever.

My Conclusion

Fred and Donald Trump
Fred and Donald Trump

The M.O. of President Trump has always been the same, since even before he became President of The United States. With all the firing, and loyalty issues, he has been the same since he became Donald Trump, birth-right passed down by his father and extended out through Roy Cohn (personal lawyer in Trump’s younger years). Since entering the White House, with all the firings and early departures of not only left over staff from Obama, but newly hired staff that his administration hired. If they were not strictly loyal to his ideas, decisions or untruths, they were gone. Congressmen, retired early or just quit and walked away. These are not brave people, they are cowards for not speaking out to why they left, there has been a couple, but where are our heroes that we have had in the past, they are none now under the Trump strangle-hold that he has on the Republican Party as a whole. So disturbing in every way.

The scary thing to me is that it only took him a little over three years to achieve his criminal empire, with Congressmen and Women on the Republican side, let alone the Attorney General in his back pocket, unheard of since Richard Nixon’s Presidency. In my opinion if we have four more years of the same, we will be looking at an authoritarian government in full swing.

  1. Hey there!

I think what is going on in the world of politics is just crazy. For sites like this, I believe they will shed some light on what is really going on in politics and what is one big lie. My question is what can we do about whether there is still some power in the voice of democracy?

    1. Thank you for your comment Jan, I have the same question about what we can do, this is what went through my mind when I started this website. I have found many outlets, there is twitter, where Trump hangs out all the time. I have also been in contact with The Colorado Senators, Governors, Representatives, be them Democratic or Republican, get your opinions heard, if every person does something, changes will happen, at least it has worked in the past, with marches, sit ins, political awareness gatherings in your city or towns, but to be silent, and wait for others is not the way to go. Speak Out. Be Heard. Change Will Come. Thanks again for your comment.

  2. Hi Bobbi; Your article has said a lot. The Trump administration has many of the American people complaining, which I don’t find healthy for any nation.

People should be comfortable enough not to complain. Then the big thing is: everyone is entitled to his or her opinion.

Be it to complain or otherwise. How do you see Trump in the upcoming Presidential election? Do you see him as a winner or a loser?

    1. Thank you DorcasW for your comment, I don’t think complaining is the correct term, in my case, I am scared for our democracy under Trump, there is so much that is wrong with his way of governing, and the authoritarian government that he demands from his staff as well as the Republican Party as a whole. To me that is a banana republic, and not the United States of America. I don’t know who is going to win the election, but in my opinion he personally is a loser, so many false and down right lies that have been fact checked. Also how he is truly making money from our tax dollars for his hotels and golf courses, it is now in the millions. I haven’t even mentioned the criminal behavior, which I will write about soon. My hope is that we keep our democracy. Thanks again for your comment.
