Donald Trump’s Accomplishments As President Of The United States. In this article, I want to take a look at President Trump’s Accomplishments, through the first three years of his presidency.
First Two Years In The Whitehouse
Because of President Trump’s pro-growth policies, real gross domestic product (GDP) growth exceeded three percent over the last four quarters. Real GDP grew at an annual rates of 3.4 percent in the third quarter of 2018 and 4.2 percent in the second quarter.
Five million jobs or more have been created since President Trump’s election and the rate of unemployment remains below four percent even to this day.
Prior to 2018, the unemployment rate had fallen below four percent only five times since 1970.
In 2018, the unemployment for African Americans in May of that year fell to 5.9 percent, which is the lowest rate on record. Asian and Hispanic-American unemployment rates have reached new lows as well.
Americans are seeing more money in their pockets, which in turn their is more spending, thanks to the booming economy.
Stock Market Highs, While Trump Has Been In Office
We all have been aware of the stock market highs as of late, but is President Trump the right person to be taking the credit and gaining all the accolades that come with this credit. He inadvertently turned equity into a proxy report card for his presidency. The stock market fluxuated quite a bit at the beginning of the trade agreement with China. However, it does seem to be at all time highs, especially in the last sixth months. The stock market has been steady and keeps setting new records, which makes President Trump among the most successful Republican Presidents when judged by market gains.
During The Impeachment Inquiry, the market took a small hit for a couple of days, so it is more likely than not, that it will do the same during the up-coming Impeachment Trial in The Senate.
President Trump’s Trade Agreement With China
President Trump today celebrated the signing of a partial trade deal with Chine, even as the full details of the agreement remains secret and will leave unresolved many sources of ongoing trade tension between the world’s two largest economies. In The Phase-One Agreement-which represents a significant step toward deescalation in the nearly two-year long trade battle. The Trump Administration says China has agreed to purchase billions in U.S. agriculture products and end its practice of forced technology transfer for foreign companies that do business in China.
This is President Trump’s top foreign policy priorities and comes as the Impeachment process moves forward, with The House, voting in the impeachment managers for the prosecution in the senate trial. Today Nancy Pelosi appointed 7 managers. The articles of impeachment should be presented over to the senate later today.
The text of the U.S.-China Agreement has yet to be made public, and according to an administrative official it will not be released after the formal signing today.
Donald Trump’s Tax Cuts
Donald Trump’s Tax Cuts in his own words:
“And just as I promised the American People from this podium eleven months ago, we enacted the biggest tax cuts and reforms in American History. Our massive tax cuts provide tremendous relief for the middle class and small businesses.”
Trump’s tax cuts are the largest gross tax cuts in American history, he cut over $5.5 trillion in taxes over ten years.
The tax law that President Trump included substantial reforms to make taxes simpler and fair, which helped offset the cost of the tax cuts and their limit the net tax cut to $1.5 trillion.
He cut the corporate tax rate from 35 percent to 21 percent, the biggest percentage point reduction of the top marginal rate in history.
The Child Tax Credit
President Trump’s Tax Cuts included the biggest increase in the child tax credit in history. The Child Tax Credit was increased by $573.4 billion over ten years, larger than any previous change to credits specifically targeting families.
The Tax Cuts And Jobs Act
The Tax Cuts And Jobs Act-repealed the individual mandate, making the single largest legislative blow to Obamacare since the law was passed.
1) This individual mandate is painful for low and middle income Americans: 79 percent of people who paid the penalty in 2016 had household income below $50,000.
2) The tax law’s repeal of the individual mandate relieves Americans from the unprecedented assault on liberty, where the Federal Government fined Americans for not purchasing something.
A combination of tax cuts and tax reform, the tax cuts and jobs act was therefore the largest legislative action reforming over tax code in history.
Donald Trump has accomplished a lot during his time in office up to this point. He has had one of the best economies in American history. The Tax Cuts and Reforms are definitely a part of Big Businesses, Big Corporations and Big Manufacturing Companies, getting the largest benefits. The nation felt the impact very shortly after the tax cuts and reforms were implemented, however, as time sets in , their have been some cracks (issues) of it not trickling down to the low and middle income class of Americans. Families as well as individual tax payers have not felt the income boost and or got any of the tax cuts that the wealthier Americans received, so this has received some blow-back from the left out Americans in these two classes of Americans.
Trump’s accomplishments have been swift and have boosted the economy, even with all the conflicts with the Impeachment Inquiry, The Meuller Report, Immigration policies, building the wall, the firing of several staff members throughout his time in the Whitehouse, the numerous false statements either on twitter and during press conferences, on Fox News, and while on his campaign trail. The biggest however is The Impeachment Trial that the two articles will be walked over to the Senate from The House today. There is a book out there called: InsideTrump’s White House:
